Holding strong to my blog’s “Better Late than Never” motto, x months after the fact, I have decided it’s about time I blog about camping. Before it escapes my memory completely.
So let’s start at the beginning, first — there was an idea. Then — there was a spreadsheet. Finally — we went camping.

Today, was a very good day. It all began so clean and sober, but how could we have known it would end so drunk, and muddy.

Korea ‘09. Day 19: Back Home to a Party!

Bought a duty free bottle of Jack before getting on the plane, got picked up from Sydney airport by Alex and Justin’s parents, mixed some jack into a large coke from maccas and drank that on the way home, where I was late for a huge party at Adam’s.

Korea ‘09. Day 18: Plane To KL, Lounge

We all got up super early (6am) to go to the airport.
Once we got to KLIA, Rob, Alex, and Matt had a connecting flight in 8 hours, we Blake and I hung around with them last-minute duty-free shopping and whatnot, once they left, Blake and I still had until 8am the next morning to wait for our plane, and no accomodation planned. The chairs at KLIA are pretty comfy so that was our backup plan.
We asked about the airport hotel, it was pretty expensive, about $80 each for the night, so we decided to get a 12hr entry into the business lounge for $50 each, and sleep on the big comfy chairs there instead.
This turned out to be a pretty good idea, because after getting entry we had free wifi, free buffet, and beer on tap. this kept us content untill we were good to pass out on the chairs.
Korea ‘09. Day 16: Seoul via Justin’s. Big Night

Up early to go to Justin’s house. Didn’t end up spending the night at Paulie’s, so we packed for a night in Seoul. Mssed the train at Dajeon because I left my phone in the taxi, so we spent an hour drinking at the train station. Drinks that we bought at the train station. When the staff caught us drinking at the station, they asked if there was anything they could do to help, then left politely. We arrives in Seoul at about 10pm, and went out for dinner at 1am. Over dinner, the 7 of us drank 24 litres of beer, as well as 4 shots of soju and 2 cocktails each. We got home at about 7am (after visiting some clubs, and Matt and Rob tried to get tattoos)

The height of fashion: matching Zelda hat and belt, Camelbak, stuffed tiger in belt, MP3 playing sunnies, 3-quarter cargo pants, odd-socks and a V-neck.
Korea ‘09. Day 14: Mandatory Starcraft

Didn’t do a whole lot this day, as Justin and Rob were deathly hungover. We ate some awesome onion something gorilla burger for breakfast, played some starcraft, then had a kfc grillmax for lunch.
Korea ‘09. Day 13: Daegu, Billy Bowl, Teum, Flower.

Morning
Caught the train from Seoul to Daegu with Sam, Blake was laughing in his sleep on the train.
Woke up at Seoul, caught a subway, bullet train, and subway to Daegu.
Found our way to the Green hotel where we dumped our stuff, played on our laptops, watched The Matrix, planned the eve, then went out to find a cafe. The cafe’s internet didn’t work, so Sam and I bought fashionable clothes while charging out phones for a dollar at the mart.
Came back to the hotel, successfully played some poker until dinner time.
For dinner we had a surpisingly good indian dinner at a very well decorated restaraunt. The curry could easily be mistaken for gravy, but the naan was to die for.
After dinner we went back to the hotel where we watched The Matrix 2, and drank while waiting for Paulie.
When paulie arrived, we went off to Billy Bowl. Billy Bowl was a bar made for Americans, The only redeeming features were the music and the Jack Daniels.
After everyone had their fill of Billy Bowl (about 10 minutes), we went back to Teum — the club we visited last Saturday.
